Some Green Fins members have not been able to go through their annual assessment process due to the coronavirus outbreak. An inactive status does not mean they are not operational and we suggest you get in touch with the Green Fins member directly and ask if they are open for business. The Green Fins teams will be doing all they can to reassess members in their respective countries as soon as it is possible and safe to do so.

Green Fins awareness raising activities have been present in the Philippines since 2008 and the initiative was officially launched in 2010 and has expanded to include many tourism hotspots across the country.

Green Fins Philippines is headed up by the Coastal and Marine Division (CMD) under the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Biodiversity Management Bureau (DENR-BMB). Implementation is supported by three regional government offices, their field staff as well as partner NGOs including Batangas Community Divers, The El Nido Foundation and Marine Conservation Philippines.
